DESCRIPTION:SEAFCO 40th Anniversary  Special Seminar  Recent Development of Deep Foundations and  Geotechnical Engineering in East Asia  19th December 2014 (Friday)  9:00 am – 3:30 pm  Venue:  BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center  Room GM203  Bangkok\, Thailand  SEAFCO was established on 19th December 1974 as a company focused in construction of small diameter bored piles. With the passage of time\, gradually growing as a foundation specialist\,  SEAFCO has become one of the largest deep foundation companies in Thailand for many years and has been involved in numerous foundation and deep excavation projects in Thailand\, a few projects  in Singapore and Myanmar.  Successfully completed large-scale foundation works of notable buildings in Bangkok and various infrastructure projects\, SEAFCO offers one-stop services for deep foundation and deep basement  constructions. SEAFCO recently completed the deep foundations for underground stations and associated structures of Bangkok’s second subway project (MRT Blue Line Extension Project Contract 2) where the deepest diaphragm walls in Thailand were constructed in a number of challenging conditions. Consolidating state-of-the-art technology\, modern equipment and engineering professionals\, SEAFCO initiated the innovative techniques and solution in geotechnical and foundation engineering in Thailand expanding to  neighbouring countries. To improve currently used methods\, material\, system\, design concepts and construction techniques\, SEAFCO has spent considerable time and effort in Research and Development activities.  SEAFCO is celebrating its 40th Anniversary on 19th December 2014. On this momentous occasion\, SEAFCO is holding a special seminar on recent development in deep  foundation and geotechnical engineering. With presentations to be given by well known specialists from Hong Kong\, Myanmar\, Singapore and Thailand\, this one day special seminar will cover various aspects of design and construction in geotechnical engineering and some parts of structural engineering. Through a series of recent and upcoming construction projects and  research works\, the seminar is a good combination of design and practice which will be useful for the practitioners in the related professions\, particularly structure and geotechnical engineering.
